Shingles Vaccination

You become eligible for the shingles vaccine as you turn 70 and remain eligible up to the age of 79. People under 70 years of age are at lower risk of shingles but will become eligible for the vaccine when they turn 70. People aged 80 years and over are not eligible for the shingles vaccination because the vaccine becomes less effective as people get older. If you are worried about shingles speak to your GP.

NHS Health Check

If you're in the 40 to 74 age group without a pre-existing condition, you are eligible for an NHS health check. Please call reception on 01409 231 628 to book. The NHS Health Check is a free check-up of your overall health. It can tell you whether you're at higher risk of getting certain health problems, such as: heart disease, diabetes, kidney disease, stroke.
